Dermal fillers aren’t permanent; the hyaluronic acid in the filler breaks down after some time. Cheek fillers from Restylane® are durable, with Restylane® VOLYME™ providing maintained effect for up to 18 months1,3 and Restylane® LYFT™ for up to 24 months with one retreatment.16-18
Some may experience mild discomfort during their cheek filler treatment. To make the treatment more comfortable, most Restylane® fillers contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic.1,18 Your healthcare practitioner can also add additional pain relief.
Cheek fillers are minimally invasive but you should always follow the post-treatment guidelines from your healthcare practitioner. A general advice is to avoid makeup for a day after the treatment as well as avoid strenuous exercise or massaging your face for a couple of days.
