Frequently asked questions

Filler treatments aren’t permanent and how fast the hyaluronic acid breaks down differs from person to person. Restylane® LYFT™ treatments have proven to last up to 24 months, with one retreatment at 12 months.1,2,9

It varies from person to person. Some experience a bit of discomfort during a filler treatment. Most fillers from Restylane® contain a local anesthetic to make the treatment less uncomfortable.10 Discuss with your healthcare practitioner if you are worried about pain. Together, you may also decide to use additional pain relief.

After treatment, you will receive specific instructions from your healthcare practitioner. These treatments are minimally invasive, but side effects such as swelling, bruising, pain and itching may occur.


Keep the area clean, free of makeup and avoid touching the treated area. After your treatment, avoid exposing the treated area to heat (sunbathing, saunas, steam baths, etc) until any signs of local inflammation have disappeared. Your healthcare practitioner will inform you about risks and side effects.
