Frequently asked questions
How long do temple fillers last?
Restylane® VOLYME™ provides a long-lasting volumizing effect in the midface for up to 18 months.1,3
Will temple fillers hurt?
People have slightly different sensitivity to pain. Some may experience mild discomfort during the treatment. Most Restylane® fillers contain a local anesthetic, lidocaine, to ease any discomfort.1 If you are worried about pain, discuss that with your healthcare practitioner and you can decide together whether extra pain relief is needed.
Temple filler aftercare - what should I do?
After the treatment, you will receive specific instructions for aftercare from your healthcare practitioner. A piece of general advice is to keep the area clean, free of makeup and avoid touching or massaging the treated area. After your treatment, avoid exposing the treated area to heat (sunbathing, saunas, steam baths, etc) until any signs of local inflammation have disappeared. Make sure to follow the instructions you receive.
Will there be swelling after treatment?
Dermal filler treatments are minimally invasive but discomforts such as redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising or tenderness at the treatment site may occur. These side effects usually disappear within a week after the injection. Your healthcare practitioner will inform you about risks and side effects.
