Why Sculptra®?

Sculptra® activates the skin’s ability to produce collagen, restoring the skin’s structure and firmness4. Collagen is a fibrous protein in the deeper layers of your skin and it plays a crucial role in keeping your skin looking young and healthy. As you age, your body’s collagen production decreases which in time leads to loose and saggy skin and the formation of facial wrinkles and folds5.

Sculptra®, the original collagen stimulator, helps renew your skin gradually with long-lasting results6. Sculptra® can provide more radiant-looking skin over time, giving you natural-looking results.

The Sculptra® collagen skin renewal treatment rejuvenates sagging skin by increasing volume and firmness7. Sculptra® helps gradually diminish smile lines (nasolabial folds), laugh lines (or marionette lines) and wrinkles to help give you firm and radiant-looking skin. Results may last for up to two years8. Sculptra® can help you achieve the look you desire.

According to a clinical study9, 80% of users were still satisfied with their Sculptra® collagen stimulators treatment up to 25 months after their last injection.

Your Sculptra® treatment

Sculptra® is injected in the deep layers of your skin to stimulate its own collagen production10. You will gradually notice visible improvements of skin firmness and fullness, with results that can last up to two years11. On average, three Sculptra® treatment sessions are needed over a few months. Your doctor will work with you to determine the number of treatments needed to help achieve the look you want.

Sculptra® works subtly, improving facial areas gradually to help give you youthful and natural-looking results.

Sculptra - the science behind

How it works

The active ingredient in Sculptra® is poly-L-Lactic acid, PLLA. PLLA is a biodegradable substance that has been used for decades in dissolvable stitches for wound management. When PLLA is injected into the deeper layers of your skin, it helps stimulate your skin’s own collagen production12. Sculptra® can help rejuvenate skin volume that has been lost due to aging13.

Sculptra® is designed to give you noticeable results that emerge gradually with increased collagen production. Sculptra® can give you noticable results that emerge subtly. Because results happen gradually, you may notice subtle reductions in the appearance of facial wrinkles and folds over time. Your healthcare professional will determine the best treatment plan for you. Because results happen gradually, you will see subtle, yet noticeable, results in the reduction of facial wrinkles and folds by comparing images before treatment and a couple months following treatment.*

*Safety and effectiveness of Sculptra® have not been evaluated in areas other than nasolabial wrinkles and folds.

To help ensure safe use and obtain optimal results, it is important that you comply with the aftercare instructions provided by your doctor. In the days following your treatment, for swift healing and optimum results:

Facial massage: Massage the treated area for five minutes five times a day for five days after treatment to promote a natural looking correction, as recommended by your healthcare practitioner.

Avoid sunlight and UV esposure: After treatment, excessive sunlight and UV lamp exposure should be avoided until any initial swelling and redness have disappeared. Your healthcare practitioner will provide guidelines on sunscreen protection and how to avoid excessive sunlight.

If there are no complications, you may apply makeup several hours after treatment. Be sure to consult your healthcare practitioner after treatment for more.
